Today we will focus on an essay written by a child for entry into the National Junior Honors Society. This child wrote a piece that hit home for us in America and globally. We want to share her words in an effort, as she said to "encourage you to take an oath and begin to be a change agent in our World."
I hope this blog goes viral because it is an all too important message for our earth, and when children begin to recognize the importance of saving "THIER" earth, this is something we should stop, take hold of, and listen to. Although this essay had to be only 250 words, it is remarkable how she - (whom I have the pleasure of calling my daughter) put her thoughts with such a powerful message into these short but meaningful words - to our world.

Without further ado, I give you an essay;
PROMOTING A CLEANER EARTH. by V. Washington
To promote a cleaner Earth and to prevent global warming, I steadily pick up trash because this helps our environment. Why is this a good thing? Promoting a cleaner Earth is good because some need to understand the importance of being responsible World Citizens. People litter constantly. However, as a community, we all should throw trash away in the appropriate receptacle. We can all show leadership and pride in our communities by promoting a cleaner environment, which is essential.
If you are a person who believes in a brighter tomorrow, I encourage you to take an oath and begin to be a change agent in our World. I decided to do this by helping keep our Earth cleaner. I am happy that I chose to become a change agent to better this World.
Nevertheless, this takes being a good Citizen and showing leadership by picking up litter because who would want to clean up after someone? However, we should do anything for our Earth to maintain fresh air and become less dependent on the things hurting our environment and World.
This essay will encourage someone to become change agents and others who do not want to be change agents to find the courage and wisdom to change the things they can do better. This may not be easy, but as my Mom always says, "Tenacity is a dream catcher," To dream big and not have the tenacity to go after your dreams never becomes a reality. Find tenacity; it's waiting.
